Organization. Friend or Foe?

September 24th, 2007

For me, I would thrive more if I was organized. Or so I am hoping. My apt. is a little choatic at the moment and I contribute that to lack of organization.

But you know what? To be organized, you first have to have money and time to invest in coming to that organized state. I do think that if I was more organized I would waste less time and money. Don’t you? (yes, my darling husband, I see you nodding!) Continue reading »

My Very OWN!

September 21st, 2007

AWWW! How sweet! My technologically advanced internet guru husband has given me my very own webpage for our anniversary so I can blog! Tired of me blogging on his spot? In need of a gift? heh. (Just teasing honey..I LOVE IT!). I am so excited to get started…but hark. What is that I hear in the background? Birds chirping? Trees whistling? NO! It is my own beloved son…calling me (he is crying). I need to go…and put my little one down for a nap that he is supposed to be taking right now.

Happy Anniversary!

September 21st, 2007

Since you’ve been blogging quite a bit recently and even uploading pictures and videos, here is your own space that you can write about anything you desire. Happy blogging! Love you!

3 months and counting

September 19th, 2007

Kayle is 3 months old today! Wow! Hard to believe it has been 3 months. It is true about forgetting the pain of childbirth (well, maybe in a few more months, heh).

Anyhow, we have already begun to see Kayle’s disposition. He is a lot like me (mom) in many ways. He is a morning person. Chirpy and wide awake in the a.m. A bear in the evenings when he is tired. Happy and giggly in between. He is laid back and alert (a blend of both of us). He plays with his hands and eats them. He has been sucking his thumb and not gagging himself. He rolled over from being up on his elbow and then on to his back. He tracks objects well. He likes to push up on my legs, lean in to me and look over my shoulder. He even grabbed his foot the other day (not intentionally).

This is such an exciting time! He is so personable. A GOOD BABY!

I am really enjoying him! Even when he cries. Which is when he is tired and doesn’t want me to put him down. (Secretly I love that he wants me to hold him!)

I love that he recognizes me. ME. Mommy! When Conrad holds Kayle out so he is facing the world, Kayle watches me and keeps his eye on me. I really love that!

And I love when someone else is holding him and he begins to cry and they give him back to me and he stops crying.

He loves his little Mallory the monkey and the cow that when you pull on it it unfolds and vibrates. Mallory vibrates too.

We love to sing and read stories and make up stories and make up songs. Life is fun with my boy!

I take pictures of him all the time. And I take mental pictures too because I know this age won’t last.

I love to just hold him. Rock him. Snuggle with him. Play with him. Take walks with him.

I can’t wait to see what he weighs because he is getting heavy! Just like my eyelids are getting heavy because our days are exhausting.

ok, i am falling asleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

3 and 4

September 19th, 2007

3 stands for how many months since Kayle has been born. 4 stands for how many years Conrad and I have been married. And it just keeps on getting better and better!

I am really happy with my “men”. Both make me laugh! Both make me melt. One makes my heart break when he cries. The other would make my heart feel excited if he cried (you know what I mean…that would show he was in touch with his emotions :)
But nonetheless they are MINE. And I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Been Thinking…still (part 2)

September 18th, 2007

Ok, so where was I. Yes. Those millions of thoughts and ideas (did I say, “dozens” last time? silly me) that run through my mind. Back to stay at home enterprises…I have really wanted to do a couple of things. Not Avon or Mary Kay (though I am sure those are great if you a) love makeup, b) wear it, c) have a salesperson go-get-em personality, and d)you get the idea). Never Amway (hahahahahahahaha). Ok so nothing with pyramids –save those for Egypt. Seriously, I have considered becoming a Pampered Chef consultant. Why? Because I LOVE FOOD! and I love cooking and baking and trying new recipes and also because I want the stuff that comes in the kit!!!! Other motivations for becoming a PCC are because I think it would be a great way to get women together to just relax and mingle; it could be a great co-ed type of mixer; and again, that stuff that comes in the kit and the ability to get more stuff at good deals! What is holding me back? Well, for one, Continue reading »

Been Thinkin… (part 1)

September 13th, 2007

On a given day, a dozen ideas of things I “should do” run through my head. If not more. And thinkin’ is hard to if you’ve lost your mind…(see previous blog.)

So anyhow, I am looking for some “at home” work. Extra income type of stuff. I have subscribed to the dotmommiesdotcom website in which there are dozens of legit (or so promised) sites. I am pretty sure this is a decent website. who knows. (if you do…or you are the dotmommiesdotcom person, feel free to comment. I’d be honored!)

Ok, so I am wondering … what’s the catch? Are they safe? How can you make sure they are legit? And is that a good attitude to have? Always looking for “the catch”? Have we come down to that in society that we always have to “watch our backs?” Hmmmm… I think I see baby spit up (watching my back).

Missing: My Mind

September 8th, 2007

Have you seen it? It is pliable and pinkish. Not TOO big and not TOO small. It changes shape and can appear dense at a given moment. It still has some good storage space left. If found, please return to… Continue reading »
