Ahem… this is Conrad sneaking in to upload some pictures here because my blog is not as cool as this and neither does anyone visit it anymore!

I just got off the phone with an insurance representative in regards to a claim for Kayle. When I gave him my reference number and told him my name, he said, “this is in reference to Kayle” - and pronounced it… CORRECTLY! I got excited and said “THANK YOU for saying my kid’s name correctly! People call him a girl named Kaylee.” He laughed and said “that is how it looked to me!” Thank you Mr. Insurance representative Joel!

Seems like I have good intentions to start something each week on this blog. Last week was crazy because I wasn’t feeling well and my nights have been stressed out with a baby who thinks he is napping during the night time. And now with Daylight savings having ended…(or begun..i can’t ever get that straight..) I am wondering how Kayle is going to transition.

Ok, well, at first I had really nothing to say. At least, at the moment when I had a chance to write this, no real thoughts were forming to make an eventful blog. Then the minute I typed my baby’s name, it triggered another link in my brain of a topic I can write about… (more…)

Anyone want to join me for a new book club? I have decided to start one. Because I have a new favorite author. Barbara Kingsolver. I can’t seem to put down anything she writes! Ok, so I am only on book #2 of hers and I had to return that to the library because my late charges were accumulating (and I need to think about college for Kayle) and my reading for pleasure time is about a 20 minute window here and there during feeding.

But, just let me say this. If you are looking for a great book to read, check out “The Poisonwood Bible.” yes, it was on Oprah’s book club list (or whatever she calls it). It is great. If you do…please write me about it!
