Cookies with mom

Today we make cookies…

Yes… With a few days to go before Christmas, we are finally finding time to get Christmas cookies done… This is early for two procrastinators πŸ™‚ In all fairness, we were going to start cookies last week..

Anyhow, it’s been awesome to go through my grandma’s cookbooks and find her handwritten recipes. Remember when people did that instead of pinning it?!

We will let you know how it goes πŸ™‚

My fashionista:)

I love this little girl! She truly is a treasure:)

She is funny
She is cute
She is entertaining
She likes Barbies, My little pony, fairies
She paints, draws, and lots more:)

I’m up

I don’t want to be, but I’m up. Should have already been up but I have been having trouble getting to sleep lately (read: on my phone; on FB).

Today is a new day. My verse for the morning comes from Gal 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Praying for my dear friend Ruth whose husband has been in a coma for 9 days now from a Brain stem stroke. The latest is that the docs from one hospital are sending his info to another that specializes in strokes. Though the family keeping the faith and belief for healing, I know this waiting game has got to be stressful!

God’s mercy is new every morning!

From my phone

Ok I thought blogging from my phone was silly when my husband first showed me how. “I’m not that kind of a 21st-century girl” I thought to myself. But look. Here I am πŸ™‚ blogging from my phone. And I am using The microphone.

So I wanted to make sure I had day three done in my new blogging ritual.
I wanted to make note that I am looking forward to making some changes in 2014. Namely The ones I mentioned in yesterday’s blog. But I was so excited that I wanted to keep blogging and my husband was using my computer. Hence me talking to my phone at this moment.

It’s a lot harder than it looks

Dear Diary,

In my mind, I saw myself flittering away at the keyboard — effortlessly broadcasting streams of thought as they popped in my head. Capturing the moment. Humorously.

Screeeech! (enter crickets). Nothing is coming to my head… except “that’s a typo. Fix. it.”

Why did I want to blog again? (I know that sounded like I “blogged” before.)

It all started when I read something on the 750 words site about just getting thoughts down on paper –aka, the keyboard… first thing. fresh. just type. That is the starter kit recipe for writing, right? Wrong.

At least I don’t think so. I mean, I am focusing more on “will anyone read this” and “do I want to just type and not worry about spelling at first and then go back and proof because that is what is slowing me down.” (Type a word, backspace backspace.)

The last time I was blogging was to document my brief business independence. My Mary Kay journey. At least the journey lasted longer than the blog πŸ™‚ But nonetheless, it’s time for a blog “makeover”— Β pun totally Intended.

So I am going to stop here. Because I can. And regain speed tomorrow πŸ™‚
